Of course I couldn't resist!! I did pretty good the first day, only buying the Akagi & the Jintsu. Then the dealers went crazy with discounts the
2nd day so I dove in!!

I also took over 500 photos. Once I post them on my local IPMS chapter website, I'll put a link up so everyone can check them out.

Glad to hear you had a great time. Now you just couldn't resist getting any more ships to build huh...LOL. Well atleast the new fleet you picked up is in
700 scale.

The Nationals were great - there were something like 2,503 models entered in the contest. I didn't place in any of the categories I entered, but the
competition was really, really good, and I had a good time. Picked up the following kits (like I needed anymore):

Midship Models 1/700 USS Guam (1945)
Midship Models 1/700 USS Salt Lake City (1943)
Admiralty Models 1/700 USS Spokane (1945)
Niko Models 1/700 Nashiville (1943/44)
Hasegawa 1/700 IJN Akagi (the new triple deck version)
Aoshima 1/700 IJN Jintsu (1933)
Aoshima 1/700 Atago (1942)

I also picked up an upgrade set for the Trumpeter 1/700 Richelieu from L'Arsenal. It comes with a comprehensive PE set, plus resin replacements for the
40mm guns.

All in all, a great time! Next years convention will be in Columbus, OH, Aug 19-22nd. In 2010, the Nationals will be in Phoenix, which beat out Portland,
Oregon for the honors.
