What a great tribute! Sounds ambitious, but I'm sure you'll pull it off. Thanks to all the Van Gartzen's who've served this great country - your service is appreciated!
Thanks Martin, I know I speak for all of us when I say it was our pleasure and a great opportunity to serve our fellow citizens of this great Nation.

As far as the modeling goes, yes, it's a very big project. Eric's Huey will be a monster diorama in 1/35, I should have gone with 1/72, but all the others are in 1/35 (except Dennis', a 737-800 in 1/35 wouldn't fit anywhere except the runway...LOL). So what I have in order for this project is: Myself, an MP hummer providing support for fellow MP's entering a structure (may change a bit along the way), Dennis (commercial airline pilot) will have a 1/144 Boeing 737 either taxiing or at take off (Alaska Airlines), Greg's will be a M2 Bradley deploying his element in ODS, Eric's will be a UH-1D coming in to pick up wounded troops depicting his Panama experience and finally, Brian's (he was Air National Guard in GA) will be a commando hummer operating his communications duties. I know it's alot of work, but I think it will be a great tribute to the von Gartzen clan. image

I have everything I need thus far, just waiting for the 737 model to arrive. Now I just have to pick one to start with...LOL.
