I thought I would share a few photos of my current project in the beginning stages of being built. The kit is Tamiya's 1/35 M2A2 Bradley ODS, which
includes various accessory equipment (rucksacks, water jugs, tarps, tents, ammo crates, etc) which really adds to the kit. The kit is an excellent build for
anyone interested in building a modernized Bradley. The only draw back is that it doesn't include the interior at all, but if your in the mood to scratch
build, there you go. The fit is outstanding and and the molded detail is very crisp with minimal ejector pin marks (those that it does have are in areas not
visible. Anyway, I am building this particular kit for my brother in remembrance of our brother Greg who served in ODS in 91 with the 3rd ACR. Although this
model is of newer versions, it's the thought here, not going for historic accuracy on this build, have one planned for all the brothers that served and the
vehicles they used as a massive diorama.
So here are a few photos of the kit basis complete on the diorama base (not the cracked clay, it's an air dry clay, but the cracks will be filled with actual product to replicate the desert scene). This one is pretty much straight out of the box, however, it will be painted and weathered rather heavily. Enjoy the photos (no wise cracks about my wifes table cloth...LOL). Back to the bench...
